Starting line-up, confirmed team news and injury latest today

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made changes to his squad to face Sheffield United.

The trip to Bramall Lane can be classed as a ‘banana skin’ for the Reds as they take on the Premier League’s bottom club following the return of manager Chris Wilder.

Liverpool’s main news ahead of tonight’s game is the absence of Joel Matip, who has been out for several months with a knee injury.

Ibrahima Konate comes into defense at centre-back and is joined by Joe Gomez at left-back, while Konstantinos Tsimikas is rested.

Cody Gakpo is back and Darwin Nunez on the bench. Mohamed Salah, of course, is not rested – and will be chasing his 200th Liverpool goal – and Luis Diaz continues in the front three with Diogo Jota injured.
