Emergency services respond to medical incident at Fishponds Park – live updates

Emergency services responded to a medical incident at a park in Bristol this afternoon (Monday 6 May). Several police vehicles and ambulances were at Fishponds Park, the area cordoned off by emergency services.

An eyewitness told Bristol Live that a tent was set up surrounded by paramedics. Bristol Live understands a man suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to hospital for further treatment.




At the time, entrances to the park also appeared to be blocked as emergency services responded to the incident. Traffic monitoring services also reported heavy traffic and congestion in the surrounding area.

Bristol Live has contacted South West Ambulance Service Trust for a statement.

The police leave the scene

Our photographer says the emergency service presence has been reduced. One or two police cars remain at the scene and are expected to leave soon.
