World Snooker Championship 2024: Latest scores, results, schedule, order of play as Kyren Wilson faces Jak Jones

Thirty-two of the best players in the world arrived in Sheffield with aspirations of lifting the sport’s most coveted trophy across 17 days of intense action from April 20 to May 6.

The first few days of the 2024 tournament saw upsets aplenty as defending champion Luca Brecel and last year’s runner-up Mark Selby both lost.

That seemed to set the tone for one of the most unpredictable World Championships in history.

The World Snooker Championship runs from Saturday, April 20 to Monday, May 6, 2024 and will be held at the Crucible Theater in Sheffield.

The 32-man field will be whittled down to one champion across 17 days of straight knockout action.

The top 16 seeds were drawn against the 16 players who came through qualifying for the opening round, which started on April 20.

First-round matches will be contested over 19 frames, while last-16 and quarter-final games will be best-of-25 encounters.

Semi-finalists will compete over 33 frames, with the final being a best-of-35 battle.
