Wakefield Music Festival will return to the city center for a day of fun and music on May 25

Wakefield Music Festival returns to Wakefield town center this summer and brings with it a range of local and national acts to entertain audiences.

The festival takes place on Saturday, May 25th from 2-10pm on the stage behind Phil’s Main Street Grill at 323-327 Main St. The event will feature a diverse musical mix of funk, rock, blues, country and reggae.

“I love bringing people together and shining a light on downtown Wakefield,” Ken Tetzner, owner of Phil’s and event organizer, said in a statement. “We’ve built on every event we’ve done – they’re bigger and better, with different genres of music and different food. We want to change the experience every time, always keeping it really fun.”

In addition to the music, there will be a variety of activities for attendees to enjoy, including a bike path, downtown merchants, vendors and the second RiverFire of the year. A rain day is scheduled for Sunday, May 26.

  • 18 – 19 – Bulletproof
  • 19 – 20:30 – Guess Method
  • 20:45 – 22:00 – Brass Force

  • 16:00 – Super Mario

Tickets are $20 at the event or online at https://www.contemporarytheatercompany.com/music-fest. Active duty military personnel and veterans are welcome free with ID, and children under 12 are free.
