Iheanacho refuses to commit Leicester City’s future

Kelechi Iheanacho has hinted that his future lies away from Leicester City.

Iheanacho fell out of favor with coach Enzo Maresca after representing Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast earlier in the year against the Italian’s wishes.

The striker has barely featured for the Foxes since returning from the competition in February.

The 27-year-old has made just four appearances for Leicester City this year.

Iheanacho’s contract with Leicester will expire at the end of June. READ ALSO:

Speaking to host Nabila Fash at the Foxes’ match with Blackburn Rovers, he said of the team’s promotion: “I feel good, I feel great, it’s a massive achievement so I’m really happy.”

Asked what’s next for him, Iheanacho said: “I don’t know at the moment, I’m still a Leicester player.”
