When the transfer window opens and closes after a major change to affect Everton and Liverpool

Both Liverpool and Everton have a clearer picture in the transfer window after the Premier League confirmed dates for the summer and winter markets.

The Red and Blues have been forced to make a number of changes in recent years as they look to compete with the free spenders in the English top flight.

Liverpool made wholesale changes in midfield last summer, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister making their way through the goal. Jordan Henderson and Fabinho left, which made way for the arrival of Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo.

At Stanley Park, Everton were forced to tighten their belts under Sean Dyche and were forced to navigate a narrow transfer window.

The transfer window closes on Friday, August 30 at 11pm after closing last September. It has been confirmed that the date has been agreed with Europe’s major leagues following discussions with the EFL and governing bodies in Germany, Spain, Italy and France.

When does the winter transfer window open and close?

The January transfer window was one of the quietest on record in the Premier League. With Everton down on points and Nottingham Forest under threat, the top clubs have been tightening their belts amid concerns over the line and a penalty.

It remains to be seen what the Premier League landscape will be in January, but the threat of Saudi Arabia’s riches remains prevalent and they could look to find another key name from the region early in the year.
