‘Inspirational’ Bristol primary school rated ‘outstanding’ in latest Ofsted report

A Bristol primary school has been named ‘inspirational’ by Ofsted after a recent inspection. Ashton Gate Primary School, which provides education for 776 pupils aged four to 11, was rated ‘outstanding’ in every category during the inspection on 5 and 6 March.

Ofsted was full of praise for the primary school and pupils as pupils were described as “proud to be Ashton Gaters”, where they are allowed to “flourish and soar together”. Ofsted noted that staff have high expectations of their pupils and that pupils are able to meet these expectations.

The school’s chief executive Gareth Jones said he was “very proud” of his staff. He also called the children at the school “a delight to teach”.
