King’s Awards for Cornish Businesses

Three Cornish businesses have been recognized at this year’s King’s Award for Enterprise.

Teagle Machinery, Made for Life Organics and Lynher Dairies are among 252 companies nationwide to receive the award this year and will be invited to a royal reception at Windsor Castle in July.

The King’s Enterprise Awards are the UK’s most prestigious business awards. The awards were first established in 1965 and since then more than 7,000 companies have achieved an award. The awards celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses that lead the way with pioneering products or services, deliver impressive social mobility programs or demonstrate their commitment to best practices in sustainable development. They are the UK’s highest official awards for British business.

Teagle, an agricultural machinery specialist with more than 80 years’ experience, won the award for international trade.

The award highlights exceptional growth in key overseas markets such as France, Ireland, the US and Germany, with recent expansions into India, Thailand, Vietnam, Chile and China. Export sales now account for over 50% of total revenues.
