The expert explains the mistakes people make when he says how much water you should drink every day

A dietitian revealed the nuanced intricacies of your water routine, including how much you should be drinking each day, as well as a common gaffe people tend to make in their water-drinking habits. Embarking on a fitness journey, trying to shed pounds or simply striving for a healthy existence, getting enough water is a non-negotiable part of the business.

However, the wide range of conflicting health advice floating around can leave many perplexed. Therefore, it becomes vital to take into account only expert advice regarding the amount of water to be consumed per day.

Diet guru Orla Walsh recently enlightened RTE listeners on the exact amount of water we should be gulping down each day, the Irish Star reports.

She said: “In general, we need somewhere between 1.7 and 2.7 liters a day, because we get some from food and some from breaking down food into energy.”

She also pointed out a mistake that many make – neglecting to hydrate consistently throughout the day, which leads to excessive water consumption during the evening. The key, she points out, is a steady spread of your fluids from the moment you wake up, rather than a sudden deluge in one go.
