Baby dies after Legoland Windsor incident while woman arrested

A baby boy has died after suffering a cardiac arrest at Legoland Windsor, with police arresting a woman. The five-month-old boy tragically died in hospital after he was “seriously injured in a careless incident”, according to Thames Valley Police.

Police say he died Sunday at the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest Thursday. A 27-year-old woman has been granted bail after being arrested on suspicion of neglecting a child to cause unnecessary injury. She was released on bail until July 26, DailyStar reports.




Detective Constable Zoe Eele, the investigating officer who is part of the police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit, urged the public to “avoid speculation” about the incident. Thames Valley Police appealed for anyone with information to contact officers on 101 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously.

Det Con Zoe Eele said: “We are investigating a distressing incident involving a very young child at Legoland Windsor earlier this week. Firstly, our thoughts are with the family of the boy who sadly died in hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.

“We are supporting them as best we can at this extremely difficult time. We are working closely with the team at Legoland Windsor Resort but would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident, particularly anyone who was queuing for the boat ride at Coastguard HQ between 11.30am and 12.45pm , Thursday, May 2.
