LIVE: Take That bring rearranged Co-Op Live gigs to Manchester’s AO Arena – latest updates

While there’s plenty of excitement about tonight’s gig at the AO Arena, at one point last week, mammoth Take That’s residency was in jeopardy.

As many will know, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald were originally scheduled to play their five shows in the city tonight at Co-op Live in Eastlands, but construction delays and “technical difficulties” at the venue have determined the concerts will be moved to AO Arena.

Last week, new venue Co-op Live was forced to cancel several gigs due to a “technical issue”. At the end of April, Peter Kay’s shows were postponed, before A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s rearranged opening night concert on Wednesday (May 1) was canceled at the last minute.

In light of the cancellations, all five nights of Take That concerts have been moved to the AO Arena. The group will perform there on May 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Many die-hard Take That fans were relieved their shows were not cancelled, but some complained they had been allocated seats that did not match those originally purchased, claiming the seats were “much worse”. Others, particularly those who purchased VIP tickets, have requested refunds, although some have struggled to get them on Ticketmaster’s website.

Ticketmaster reiterated that refunds are available to ticket holders and that anyone requesting a refund will receive one. You can read the latest on that story here.
