M40 closure live as the northbound carriageway closed following an early morning accident

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue confirmed they also attended the incident just before 3am. A spokesman said: “Two appliances from Leamington Spa and an officer attended a road traffic collision on the M40 northbound at 12-13. A full road closure is in place northbound from junction 12 to 14”.

Warwickshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene in the early hours of this morning, according to Highways England. CoventryLive has contacted the services to request more information about what happened.

Diversion – Via the B4100 Banbury Road, via Gaydon and Lighthorne, then the A452 Warwick Bypass to rejoin the M40 at J14.
