Police moved to keep people safe after shots were fired in Solihull. Three people were arrested after shots were reported in Rover Drive and Kingshurst Way.

Officers from West Midlands Police remain at the scene to collect evidence and carry out further enquiries.



Fortunately, no one was hurt. The three arrested are two men aged 31 and 34 and a woman aged 29. All were arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Three people have been arrested after shots were fired at addresses in Solihull.

“A 31-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were arrested in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday) after shots were fired in Rover Drive and Kingshurst Way.

“We attended and identified the three, who were arrested a short time later at an address in Birmingham.

“Officers remain at the scene to gather evidence and carry out further enquiries.

“All three were arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms and remain in custody.

“We would like to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident with no cause for wider concern in the community.

“Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.”
