Actor Jack Black enjoys a meal at Birmingham Indian restaurant as order revealed

Hollywood A-lister Jack Black has been hailed as a “legend” by fans after he made the most of his time in Birmingham.

The actor was in town with Kyle Gass for a series of sold-out Tenacious D shows at Resorts World Arena on May 7. Earlier in the day, the star was spotted outside Poundland where he humorously demanded a Wolverhampton father-of-two to hand over his house keys, wallet and the phone they were using for a selfie.

Before heading back to the Arena for the show, Jack and a group of friends decided to dine at Asha’s, a popular celebrity hotspot in Birmingham. He joins the ranks of Tom “Two Tikkas” Cruise and singer Pink who have also dined at Asha’s while in the city.

Asha’s told BirminghamLive: “Jack was lovely. He ordered butter chicken for himself and shared a selection of dishes with a big group of seven people. He complimented the food and chatted to lots of fans.

“He even sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to a little boy’s dad after he told Jack they were celebrating.”

Asha’s went all out on Insta, posting a snap of Hollywood A-lister Jack Black donning a wild, phoenix-inspired tie-dye tee and some snazzy shorts, sandwiched between two grinning members of Asha’s squad. The caption was buzzing: “What a treat it was to welcome the legendary Jack Black to Asha’s yesterday! Jack is one half of the incredible Tenacious D but you will also know and love him from global blockbusters like The Holiday and School Of Rock.”
