Dog-friendly Coventry cafe with ‘excellent’ food is opening its doors

A top coffee shop has opened a brand new branch in the city center of Coventry. Baxter Baristas can be found at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum on Jordan Well.

Baxter Baristas already has a presence in the city center with a long-standing cafe at the Coventry Transport Museum. Customers raved about the “excellent” food that earned them a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice award in 2023.




Owner Steven Prime said he was “delighted” with the opening of the new town center cafe, which opened on Monday 29 April. Diners will be able to enjoy a wide range of food and drinks including ‘Homemade Egg on Toast’. ‘ and a ‘Crazy for Mushroom Toastie’.

Owner Steven Prime told CoventryLive: “After more than 15 years at Coventry Transport Museum, we are delighted to be opening a second Baxter Baristas at the Herbert Art Gallery.”

He continued: “A new cafe is about more than just expanding our business – it’s about continuing to connect with the local community and we’re excited to bring our passion for great coffee and tasty food to even more people in the city! Like the first cafe, the cafe is dog friendly, so furry friends are welcome too!”
