The European giants want the Sheffield United midfielder

Sheffield United are set to sell some key assets this summer following relegation from the Premier League. It is believed the club will look to snap up Anel Ahmedhodzic and Vinicius Souza to help fund a major summer rebuild at the club.

Ahmedhodzic has already been a name linked with a move away in the next transfer window and the Blades look set to receive a big return. The Bosnia international reportedly has a £17m relegation release clause written into his contract. And we know Napoli were keen on him in January.

It is also now being reported that Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza could be on his way to European giants AC Milan this summer, according to Rudy Galetti.

Sheffield United looked like they had landed a monster defensive midfielder when they signed Souza in the summer from Lommel for an estimated £10m fee. However, this was far from the case, and some supporters believe he was one of the worst signings in the team’s recent history.

Despite his inconsistent performances and a second successive relegation on his CV, he clearly hasn’t put Milan off and the report claims the Italian giants see Souza as their number one choice for a new defensive midfielder.
