Two people taken to hospital after A444 collapse near M6 junction

Two people have been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash caused chaos at a major intersection this morning. The accident happened at the junction of the A444 at Exhall and junction 3 of the M6.

Police said two people were taken to hospital, although their injuries are not believed to be serious. The road has now reopened, but footage from the M6 ​​earlier this morning shows traffic queuing to leave at the junction.




Nuneaton Fire Station also shared dramatic footage of the crash. Firefighters had to cut victims out of their cars after people became trapped.

The lighting was also damaged, with live wires exposed.

A Warwickshire Police spokesman thanked people for their patience while the road was closed. He added: “Thank you for your patience while we dealt with a collision on the A444 at the junction with the M6. The road has now been cleared and reopened. Two people were transported to the hospital, injuries are not considered serious.”

A Nuneaton Fire Station spokesman added: “Green Watch firefighters used trauma care techniques and extrication equipment (at) multiple RTCs this morning.
