Chase fans are divided as they “recognize” the contestant

Many The Chase fans thought a contestant from the latest episode looked familiar when they tuned in on Wednesday.

As always, Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players into the ITV studio and, although they had never met before, they teamed up to take on one of Britain’s biggest brains. All that stood between them and potentially thousands of pounds, was a Chaser.

Today it was Anne Hegerty’s turn to use her vast knowledge of quizzing, and Chris from Swansea, Callum from Fife, Sue from Gloucestershire and Emily from Carlisle took turns against the governess.

Chris was up first and despite answering an impressive seven questions correctly in his cash-generating round, he was caught by the hunter and sent home empty-handed.

Next up was zookeeper Callum and as he was introduced to viewers by host Bradley many thought they ‘recognised’ him. On X, ex-Twitter, Angie said: “Wondered where I recognized Callum from #TheChase” and added a gif of Prince Harry.

@R3TROBOY also shared a photo of Prince Harry, however Liam shared a photo of Freddie Flintoff and said: “Does Callum play cricket when he’s not at the zoo?” And Steve thought Callum looked like Coronation Street actor Gary Windass Mikey North.

Unfortunately for Callum, he was caught by the governess and forced to leave the show.
