It’s all about writing for Ealing this May – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 cities

The Mayor of Ealing, Councilor Hitesh Tailor, together with Walpole Borough Councilor Grace Quansah, have officially opened The Write Trail, a month-long writing festival taking place this month in venues across the borough.

Funded by Arts Council Ealing, The Write Trail is the brainchild of academic Dr Poonam Madar and previously took place in 2022.

Activities this month include creative writing workshops, open-mic spoken word, word scavenger hunts and an introduction to screenwriting.

Dr Madar said: “As a lifelong resident of west London, I am proud to celebrate the rich tapestry of the written word in all its forms in Ealing and its thriving multicultural communities.”

Dr Madar added: “With an incredible range of online sessions, in-person workshops and fun family events, there really is something for everyone and I’m incredibly grateful to Arts Council England for making this initiative possible important and useful. “
