Henderson inspires the younger brother

Maroons forward Colton Henderson is inspiring his younger brother Rowan, who was recently selected 12th overall by the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL Under-18 Draft.

Colton was the Knights’ second-round pick in the 2023 OHL U18 draft after not hearing his name called a year earlier in the priority selection.

“To see him get a second chance was an inspiration,” Rowan told the Waterloo Region Record. “I wanted to follow in his footsteps and try and do that.”

Colton had 5-8-13 totals in 34 games this season with the Maroons and St. Marys Lincolns.
