CCTV footage has been released after a terrifying rape in Bristol

A man is wanted for questioning after a woman was raped after leaving the Lizard Lounge nightclub in Bristol. Avon and Somerset Police have released an image of a person they believe may be able to help with their investigation and are urging anyone who knows them to come forward with information.

The sexual assault took place at a residential property in Queens Road in the early hours of Saturday, October 29, 2022. The man who police want to question is described as white, about 5ft 10in, thin and with blonde hair.



Detective Constable Molly Vockings, from Operation Bluestone, Avon and Avon and Somerset Police’s specialist rape and sex crime investigation team, said: “This has been a terrifying ordeal for the victim and has had a long-term impact on her.

“We have carried out a thorough investigation into this incident and are keeping the victim updated as it progresses. As part of our inquiries we want to speak to the man in this CCTV image and would encourage anyone who knows who he is to come forward.”

Avon and Somerset Police said: “We are appealing for the public’s help to identify this man, who we wish to speak to as part of our investigation into the rape of a woman in Bristol. In the early hours of 29 October 2022, the victim left the Lizard Lounge in Queens Road before being attacked at a residential address, also in Queens Road.

“The man we want to speak to is described as white, approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and having blond hair. If you recognize this man or have any other information that could assist our investigation, please contact us.”
