A rare find: blue lobster washed up on the coast of Cornwall in the UK | Trending News

Puckey and Polperro fish fisherman Jacqueline Spencer opted to donate the lobster to a nearby aquarium for its protection, the report said.

They have an electric blue hue, which is a genetic abnormality that leads to the overproduction of a certain protein.

Spencer shared with the BBC: “We were worried that they might get caught again in another pot or even get eaten by another lobster.” She said they want the lobster to “live its life in peace and be protected from predators” in the aquarium.

Cornwall is a country situated at the south-west tip of UK, between the River Tamar, the Celtic Sea and the English Channel. It includes an archipelago of the Isles of Scilly.
