Liverpool John Lennon Airport bosses have issued a warning to all passengers.

The busy international airport serves people from Merseyside and beyond with direct flights to 66 destinations in around 27 countries. As summer approaches, more and more people are booking trips abroad.

But those with flights booked today (Thursday, May 9) were issued with an “unexpected” warning. People are advised to allow plenty of time for their journeys.
