A man was injured in the head in a supermarket ‘showdown’

Police are appealing for witnesses after a “dispute” in a supermarket car park in Leicestershire left a man with a head injury. Leicestershire Police said there was a confrontation between two male drivers on Rugby Road, Lutterworth, and one of the men, aged in his 50s, was pushed to the floor, causing injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident, which happened between 8.30am and 9.30am on Wednesday, May 1, police said today. He has since been discharged.




Police have not named the supermarket. Detective Constable Katie Burn is appealing for witnesses to the altercation to come forward. She said: “It is important that we seek to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident so I would like to speak to anyone who saw the events leading up to it or the incident itself.
