Birmingham man in court to face ‘car cannibalism’ offences.

A man has appeared in court to face multiple “car cannibalism” offences. Hammad Mahmood, 45, is charged with three counts of theft from a motor vehicle and was also charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Mahmood, of Alderson Road, Saltley, is also charged with multiple offenses of car dismantling, which is commonly known as car cannibalism. He was remanded in custody.



Birmingham Police said: “A 45-year-old man has been charged with multiple vehicle offences. Hammad Mahmood appeared at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (9 May) where he was remanded in custody.

“Mahmood of Alderson Road, #Birmingham has been charged with three counts of theft from a motor vehicle and also charged with failing to provide specimen for analysis. Mahmood is charged with multiple counts of car wrecking (also known as car cannibalism).
