Leicester man charged with murder after a 44-year-old man was found dead at the property

A 50-year-old man has been charged with murder. Raj Sidpara, of Tarbat Road, Thurnby Lodge, Leicester, was charged over the death of 44-year-old Tarnjeet Riaz, also known as the Chagger girl.

Police were called by East Midlands Ambulance Service to Tarbat Road shortly after 1.30pm on Monday 6 May after Tarnjeet was found dead at an address.

Leicestershire Police issued an update this evening (Thursday 9 May) announcing that Sidpara had been charged. Sidpara was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday).
