Coronation Street stars are delighted with Sair Khan’s new baby boy

Coronation Street actress Sair Khan has become a mother after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy.

Star Alya Nazir, who appeared in the 2014 ITV soap, said her ‘baby boy is just wonderful’. She added that he is: “Very serious and curious about the world. He is very strong and so resilient because he joined me on the roller coaster that was our 22 hours of labor.

“I didn’t quite get the birth I was hoping for, but it’s okay (two birth pools, no water birth).”

Sair said: “How can I describe the labor experience… it was raw and primal and I’m glad I kept an open heart and didn’t wait because oh my god I had NO IDEA what a journey I was in for. And ever since then I’ve been trying to figure out the latches, the vomit and the tears, all the while dealing with sleep deprivation and the small matter of trying to heal my own body as well.

“Massive respect for all new mums and dads trying to get through those first few days and weeks.”

In addition to the adorable photos of her and her partner Nathan with their new bundle of joy, Sair also said she’ll be “moving on to sharing all the bits and pieces that I found most helpful in the early days.”

The star’s Corrie co-stars were quick to comment on the Instagram post, with Daisy Midgeley star Charlotte Jordan saying: ‘Beautiful BEAUTIFUL family!! I can’t believe she will have more hair than me by 6 months xxxxx”. Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, said: “Such a beautiful little boy and a gorgeous family. Bravo mom xxxxx” (sic)

Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Connor, wrote: “The most delicious photos yet. I am ALWAYS available for a late night chat.
