The sound of the bell shows how quickly a huge fire engulfed the Cannock warehouse

This is the dramatic moment that shows how quickly a fire spread through a Cannock warehouse. Christina Shelton, who lives in Wimblebury village, caught the fire at Super Smart Services three miles away with her Ring doorbell.

Within seconds, the fire develops and thick columns of black smoke fill the bright blue morning sky. Like all local residents, they were told to close their windows, but luckily the wind blew the smoke away from her property.




Mrs Shelton said: “I checked it around 7.30am and it shows the time it started. The initial plumes of smoke and then how they develop rapidly.

“We’ve had the odd bird, the odd fox, but that’s the biggest disaster we’ve caught there. The smoke has blocked out the sun – it’s quite something.”

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue confirmed no one was injured. The cause of the fire will be investigated after it is certain.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer Glynn Luznyj said a “significant plume of smoke” would affect parts of the area. He said crews were doing everything they could to “resolve the incident as quickly as possible.”

He said: “Fortunately the weather conditions are positive and lifting them and mitigating the impact on the proximity of local businesses, schools and residents, but if anyone feels affected by the fumes please get out of it. , please close your doors and windows and be safe.
