Liverpool learn new price tag on Willian Pacho as transfer discount emerges

Liverpool have reportedly learned a new asking price from Eintracht Frankfurt for defender Willian Pacho.

Reports earlier this year claimed that the Reds were interested in signing Pacho this summer as they plan to strengthen their defence. Liverpool have not signed a first-team centre-back since the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig in 2021.

This summer will see a new era at Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp stepping down from his role as manager. As a result, Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is expected to step in to succeed Klopp as Reds boss.

There has already been speculation about what business Liverpool could carry out in Slott’s first summer transfer window as manager. Pacho is one of the first players to be linked with a move to Anfield ahead of the new era.

Reports initially speculated that Frankfurt could value Pacho at around £60m. However, there has been an update on the defender’s future which could indicate that the Bundesliga club have changed their position.

Conformable Sky Germany, Liverpool are still showing interest in signing Pacho this summer. It was stated, however, that the Reds have not yet entered into official negotiations for the 22-year-old.
