Transfer: Maresca suggests Ndidi could stay at Leicester City

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has spoken about Wilfred Ndidi’s future at the club.

The Foxes risk losing the energetic midfielder to other clubs this summer.

Ndidi’s contract with Leicester City will expire at the end of June and talks have yet to start over a new deal.

However, Maresca is planning the future with the Nigerian.

“I’m already thinking about the future,” Maresca told the Leicester City Mercury.

“It’s good to start thinking about how we can improve next season. Hamza could be an option there; Wout (Faes) could be an option; and Wilf (Ndidi) could also be an option to do that kind of job.”

Ndidi registered six goals and six assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for Leicester City in the 2023/24 campaign.
