update

Royal Enfield plans to expand its portfolio in India in 2024 with multiple launches throughout the year. The veteran two-wheeler maker recently filed a trademark for the Guerrilla 450 nameplate, suggesting that this will be the name of the country’s second 450cc motorcycle. The design logo can also be seen in the trademark application.

What is special about Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450?

Currently, the status of the trademark application is only as a permit to verify the formalities. While details on the Guerrilla 450 are scarce, it is likely to use the same 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that powers its adventure sibling, the Himalayan 450.

It was seen during testing

This model has already been seen testing at several locations in India. It is likely to have conventional telescopic forks for the front suspension, a monoshock unit at the rear, disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS, a minimalist design and more.

Who will receive the competition?

When launched, this bike will compete in the highly competitive mid-capacity segment, taking on rivals like the Triumph Speed 400, Pulsar NS 400 Z, KTM 390 Duke and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400. It is expected to be launched at the end of the year.

When will it be released?

Royal Enfield is yet to officially confirm the bike, but the trademark filing and leaked logo indicate that it is coming soon. The Guerrilla 450 will enter the Indian motorcycle market as a great product.
