Every single Championship player released so far, the likes of Stoke, Coventry and others, submit hold lists

Coventry City favorite Liam Kelly is set to become a free agent this summer as the retained lists begin to come down around the Championship.

Captain Kelly leaves Coventry after playing 180 games for the club since 2017, helping them win promotion from League Two and League One, reaching the Championship play-off final and the FA Cup semi-final this season. Goalkeeper Simon Moore also bids farewell, while manager Mark Robins is in talks to extend the stay of starlet Callum O’Hare.

Robins said: “Liam Kelly will rightly be lauded as a club legend. He was a consummate professional on and off the pitch and an integral part of Coventry City’s rise through the divisions in recent years.”

Stoke City boy Sam Clucas is leaving Rotherham after one season. The 33-year-old midfielder played 32 times, scored once and set up two in what proved a difficult year for the Millers. Steve Evans joined in the final week of the season as their third manager and they were long relegated to League One by that point.

Ten other players are also set to be released, including defenders Sean Morrison, Lee Peltier, Grant Hall and Tyler Blackett and midfielders Cafu and Shane Ferguson.

Stoke have addressed the contract situation of first team players. Tyrese Campbell is leaving, Jordan Thompson has had a 12-month option and talks are ongoing with Enda Stevens. Frank Fielding stays while Ciaran Clark and Wesley leave.
