Ricky Gervais says his vodka is a neurotoxin linked to intellectual disability

Comedian Ricky Gervais shared another comic skit to promote his Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka spirit via Instagram and X, pointing out that it is a neuro-toxin that can lead to intellectual impairment. In the video, Gervais says his “premium, quality spirit made from British apples” would have been loved by Einstein – the original apple influencer.

The co-owner of Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka suggests that a sip of his smooth vodka may have been the key to his revolution in the theory of relativity. But Gervais goes on to issue a stark warning that, in fact, “alcohol is not good for clear thinking at all,” going into detail about “neurotoxins” that affect “brain communication” and “intellectual impairment.”

The video ends with Ricky pointing at his vodka and fades to black.

Breaking away from the gimmicky, aspirational advertising favored in the spirits industry, Gervais continues to create a new voice for Ellers Farm Distillery, of which he became co-owner in November 2023.
