The 27-year-old from London was caught with Class A drugs last month

A London man has been jailed for drug offenses in Aylesbury.

Xhenet Hasaj, 27, of Babington Road, Barnet, was jailed for two years and seven months and ordered to give up his drugs, mobile phone and cash at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday, May 2, after who admitted to possessing Class A drugs when he was stopped by police last month.

Plainclothes officers from Thames Valley Police were on patrol in Aylesbury when they stopped a suspected drug deal involving an Audi A4, which Hasaj was driving, on March 25.

Officers followed the car until it stopped and searched the car, where £250 in cash was found.

Hasaj was arrested and after a new search around 18 bags of cocaine were found.

He was charged the next day.

Investigating officer PC James Gordon, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We will be proactively targeting and pursuing criminals and our work will be both overt and covert, with the aim of disrupting and pursuing criminals involved in the supply of drugs.
